CULT post-punk jazz band Run Logan Run will be stopping off in Furness on their winter tour for a free afternoon live show.

The hotly-tipped Bristol duo are playing a series of gigs across the UK this month, and will be paying a visit to Barrow for a performance on Saturday January 28.

Formed in 2015, they only have one EP to their name so far, but have quickly set about establishing themselves as one of the up-and-coming names to watch in the South West.

With a cult following in their hometown, their most high-profile appearances have included support slots opening up for Melt Yourself Down and Colin Stetson.

With their second EP due out sometime in the near future, there will be plenty of new material in their live set for this tour.

Run Logan Run is the duo Andrew Hayes and Dan Johnson, combining saxophone, FX, and drums in an avant-garde style that takes its cues from the British punk jazz scene.

Andrew plays alto and tenor sax through a pedalboard of loopers, delays and harmonisers, while Dan keeps things moving with his tribal beats.

This afternoon show is a chance to catch a highly-rated touring band in action for free, with any donations to the band being welcomed.

The performance takes place in The Forum's foyer area on Saturday January 28, from 1pm.
