FUNNYMAN Ed Byrne will be heading to Cumbria for a four-night run in 2017.

The acclaimed stand-up, star of Dara & Ed’s Big Adventure, and Mock the Week regular, will be bringing his new show to Millom, Kendal and Barrow next November.

With the Spoiler Alert tour still many months away, the content of the show is still unknown, but needless to say it will contain plenty of the observational humour that has become his trademark over the past 20 years.

Ed has enjoyed huge critical and popular success in the UK and Ireland, performing hit tours, selling out many runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, and enjoying a successful two-week run in the West End.

He had the biggest selling comedy show of the year at the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe, and three of his previous tours have been released on DVD.

In the UK and Ireland, he has become a regular fixture on TV and radio, appearing on or presenting a range of shows on BBC radio, including The Unbelievable Truth and What’s So Funny.

He is also a regular panellist on shows like Mock the Week and Have I Got News for You, and has made several memorable appearances on the Graham Norton Show.

Ed has also developed a huge overseas following and has performed to capacity audiences in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Belgium, Bermuda, Norway, Austria, Switzerland and more.

He returns to Cumbria with Spoiler Alert on Wednesday November 8, 2017, at the Beggar's Theatre, in Millom. The next two nights, Thursday 9 and Friday 10, will be at the Brewery Arts Centre, in Kendal, and he concludes his visit with an appearance at The Forum, in Barrow, on Saturday November 11.

Tickets for all performances are available from the venue's box offices now.
