THE full line-up and stage times have been announced for this month's DogFest.

Furness' largest live music event of 2017 will see more than 1,000 attending the festival at the Black Dog, near Dalton, on Sunday August 27.

Carlisle band Hardwicke Circus, who have recently spent time in London working with Rolling Stones and Pharrell Williams producer Stephen Lipson, had previously been announced as headliners.

Before they appear, an array of Furness' finest acts will take to the stage - now situated in the field opposite the pub.

Young solo performer Billy Hogan will kick things off at noon, and there will be early afternoon sets - on the hour - from acoustic act The Hawthorns and Americana outfit the Dustbowl Daredevils .

Blues rockers The Blue Lakes appear at 3pm, followed by hotly-tipped new indie pop band Indigo Youth, and a stripped-back performance from highly-rated Barrow rock band The Sides.

Instrumental funk duo Get Carter, who feature a former touring member of Madness and The Selecter, will play their first gig at the Black Dog at 6pm, before the late evening sets begin with 90s indie covers band Orinoco at 7.30pm.

The Sun Kings star in the second-headline slot, from 8.30pm, playing everything from '60s hits through to the present day, including tracks from acts such as The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac and Royal Blood.

Hardwicke Circus' set gets under way at 9.30pm, and will see the well-regarded seven-piece rock 'n' roll band run through their collection of self-penned tracks.

Although still a young band, they already have appearances at Leeds and Reading, Glastonbury and Kendal Calling to their name, and have shared the stage with the likes of the Happy Mondays and Alabama 3.

Tickets for the event are on sale now from the Black Dog, and can be booked by phoning 07912 287124 or online at www.skiddle.com
