AN exhibition of silkscreen prints by Cumbrian artist Judy Evans has gone in display at the Beach Hut Gallery.

The exhibition space at Kents Bank station, near Grange, is a co-operative consortium and hosts showcases of its members' work throughout the year.

Witherslack-based artist Judy was a founder of the hugely-successful and nationally-renowned Printfest, in Ulverston, and has regularly exhibited at the event, as well as festivals across the country.

Her work has also been seen on the walls of Cumbrian galleries such as the Coach House Gallery, Brantwood, Gossipgate Gallery, Tinners Rabbit, and Greystoke Gill Pottery, and she has also had commissions for her artwork to be used on postcards for Made In Cumbria.

This latest display is entitled Vintage and features original silkscreen prints and hangings around a retro theme.

Founded in 2008, and an artists co-operative, the Beach Hut Gallery exhibits some of the finest art and craft in Cumbria.

Permanent artists include Fran Brown, Martin Copley, Robin LeMare, and Laura Pendlebury.

The gallery hosts group and solo shows throughout the year, offering a fresh and unique experience of contemporary art in Cumbria.

It will be on display at the Beach Hut Gallery until Sunday August 13, and can be viewed between 10.30am and 5pm, Wednesday to Sunday.
