PUN master Milton Jones has announced that he will be appearing in Barrow next year on his new nationwide tour.

The star of Mock the Week , Live at the Apollo , and Michael McIntyre’s Roadshow will be touring throughout the winter months, and he brings his Milton Jones is Out There show to The Forum on Thursday March 8.

Known for his rapid-fire delivery of witty one-liners, in recent years he’s become one of the most recognised stand-ups on British television – not least for his loud shirts and messed up hair.

However, the Londoner is far from being an overnight success – it is more than 20 years since he picked up the Perrier comedy award for best newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

In 2011, his radio show won a silver Sony Award, as well as winning Chortle Headliner of the Year for his stand up. His radio show was also nominated for a Writers Guild Award in 2012, and he has just finished his 10th series on Radio 4.

The new show follows on from his 2015 tour Milton Jones and the Temple of Daft , which consisted of 170 dates across the UK, playing to more than 100,000 people.

Milton Jones is Out There sees the stand-up in full flow, holding up the mirror of truth to society, and he can see right through it – which means it’s probably just a window.

He'll be "putting his foot down and lifting the lid on the pedal bin of lies of the media" and "scaling the heights of fashion at the risk of falling into a terrible cravat".

With politics never too far away from comedy at the moment, Jones will be taking a philosophical look at his life so far and his thoughts on giving it all up to seek the highest office in the land.

The tour reaches Barrow, on Thursday March 8, 2018, and tickets are on sale from The Forum box office now.
