THE line-up for this summer's Ultimate Pop Festival is taking shape, with members of Westlife, S Club and Blue set to appear.

The new event, taking place at Craven Park rugby stadium in Barrow this August, features some of British pop music's best-known names, with a number of other guests still to be announced.

An offer for anyone that books tickets throughout January will see them entered into a prize draw, with the winner getting their hands on a pair of back-stage passes for the festival.

Antony Costa from Blue is the latest addition to the line-up, with Westlife's Brian McFadden, S Club founder members Bradley, Jo and Tina, and 90s chart act Kavana already confirmed.

Earlier this month, Costa revealed that Blue are set to reunite for a series of gigs in 2017, so no doubt excitement will be building ahead of his Furness appearance.

It will not be the first time he has appeared in Barrow, having wrapped up his first-ever solo tour, in March 2008, with a live show at The Forum. Ahead of the festival, he is touring for the next seven months as part of the murder mystery theatre production A Judgement In Stone.

Bradley, Tina and Jo from S Club Irish star Brian McFadden enjoyed massive chart success with Westlife before leaving to pursue a solo career in 2004. He has since been a big presence on Australian TV, appearing as a judge on Australia's Got Talent, and also toured alongside Boyzone's Ronan Keating.

The full S Club 7 line-up reunited for an arena tour in 2015, and since then there have been various performances featuring members of the band. In Barrow, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O'Meara, and Tina Barrett will be performing the group's hit tracks, including their debut single, Bring It All Back, which topped the UK charts in 1999.

Kavana released two albums in the late 90s, and enjoyed a number of chart singles, including Crazy Chance, Thank You, Special Kind of Something, and I Can Make You Feel Good, which was his first UK top 10 hit.

The line-up is set to at least double in the coming months, for what will undoubtedly be one of Cumbria's biggest events for pop fans in 2017.

The festival is being staged by the team behind the Ultimate 90s programme, who will also be bringing 5ive to Barrow this April. Denis and Beth Horan, from Ultimate Events, were also involved in organising the recent Barrow Christmas lights switch-on, which had been under threat of being cancelled, and have also staged recent shows with the likes of Kavana, Livin' Joy and Baby D across Cumbria.

The Ultimate Pop Festival takes place on Sunday August 27, and tickets are available now from www.theultimate90s.co.uk/festivals
