THE best in North West crafts will be on sale at Brantwood's annual winter market.

More than 40 stalls will be situated throughout the house, the Severn Studio and the newly-renovated Coach House Loft at the Coniston stately home on Saturday November 12 and Sunday 13.

A very special event when Brantwood’s historic rooms are full of crafts people selling and demonstrating the best in the region, the Craft Fair has developed a name for quality crafts over the years.

Crafts include jewellery, textiles, pottery, woodwork, original artworks, prints and cards, lampshades, baskets, bowls, pots, and clocks as well as homemade award-winning Christmas puddings, cakes and preserves – to name but a few.

The event is an opportunity for crafts people to showcase the very best in local art and craft, with demonstrations including swill-basket making, wood turning, spinning, rag rug making, fly-tying, pole lathing, and, new for this year, raku-fired pottery.

There will be plenty of ideas for unusual and unique Christmas presents and handmade objects for the home.

Brantwood Café will be serving seasonal fare including traditional mulled wine to put you in a festive mood.

Doors open at 10.30am both days, closing at 5pm on Saturday and at 4pm on Sunday.

A park and ride mini-bus service will be running between Brantwood and Machell’s Coppice car park throughout the weekend.

A small entrance fee is payable on the door.
