HAWCOAT Park go looking for their first away win of the season in the North Lancs/Cumbria League tomorrow when they head to Trafford MV, while the A-team host Leigh aiming to build on their cup win last Saturday.

Windermere’s injury problems seem to be easing as they welcome Silloth in the Cumbria League, while Millom face the trip north to Carlisle and Furness go to Egremont.

TRAFFORD MV v HAWCOAT PARK

HAWCOAT’S first team travel to Manchester in their latest hunt for points.

The Maroon and Whites have not had a lot of luck of late, so they will be looking for all that to change this weekend.

There are a couple of players missing this week, so the A-team lads fill in.

Andy Kent, Adam Grainger and John Donnan make up a strong front three, with Ashley Mowatt and Callum Ramsey taking up the mantle in the engine room.

Joe Rea and Conor Vetes Young step up to first-team duties and join regular Alfie White in a dynamic looking back row.

Johnny Burrows returns at scrum half and may well team up with James Howden.

Wide men Rodney Odandi and Will Coles will want plenty of ball to take on the opposition, with Lewis Sayle and Chris Burns inside them giving them much-needed opportunities. Blain Marwood at full-back is a handful, so his presence will be a must giving the team every chance of victory.

HAWCOAT PARK A V LEIGH

(Hawcoat Park, 3pm)

THE seconds are at home for the second week running after last week’s outstanding 20-16 victory in the cup against a previously unbeaten Leyland Warriors side.

It is another tough encounter this week as they welcome Leigh to their ground.

The front row is likely to be Ryan Brown, Mark Hall and the up-and-coming Mike Gibson, who has had some brilliant games as of late.

Skipper Martin Kennedy returns and will be alongside another revelation this season in big Luke Shaw.

Vice-captain Peter Jennens will see different bodies alongside him as Charlie Butterworth, Richard Dalton, Boneham Peacock and young colt Harry Higgins all aim to fill the shirts on offer.

With Euan James missing, either Joe Dalton or Will Howard will play at fly-half, and will link up with either Adam Williamson and Scott Garnett at scrum half.

The centres look exciting, with Ethan Vial and Connor Doherty teaming up.

Hawcoat are hopeful Liam Saunders will be fit to stiffen the backs up and play along side returning Dave Whiteside, Jay Crowe and the pacey Reece Carlisle.

WINDERMERE V SILLOTH

(Dawes Meadow, 3pm)

THE injury list at Windermere has been something of epic proportions, forcing last week’s cancellation against Furness.

This week they not only face Silloth at home, but they welcome six players back, still leaving three out with dislocations and concussions.

Skipper Jamie Hardman sees fellow front-rower Dan Harrison back in the fold, along with Luke Todd.

Tadgh Butler returns alongside Phil Murphy in a strong second row.

Johnny Benson drops back a row to number eight alongside flankers Josh Dawson and Joe Hallam. There is a return to a tried and tested half-back set up, with Dan Neild and Bertie Hodgson taking up the roles looking to get good clean ball out to centres David Oakley and Neil Piggot.

Wing men Tom Atkinson and Moses Dawson need good ball as the look to get over the whitewash, with Andy Duncan cleaning up from full-back.

CARLISLE CRUSADERS v MILLOM

MILLOM are a much better team than their bottom-of-the-league position suggests, and tomorrow they want to put a marker down when they head north in the Cumbria League.

The final squad is yet to be confirmed, but Steve Watson, Dean Doyle and Callum Lamont will lead from the front and will look to second-row enforcers Ian Cummings and Joe Thomlinson to keep things tight.

With Dave Thompson, Matty Jordan and captain Trevor Dixon in the back row, Millom have a real chance of winning the breakdown.

Robbie Pattinson and Chris Park will be looking to their forwards to support them in releasing the backs as Sy Robertson and Kyle Barnes get the nod out wide.

Andrew Mullen and Steven Rodger are in the centres taking on all-comers and the players on the bench would start for most teams, which shows great strength in depth at Wilson Park.

EGREMONT v FURNESS

FURNESS are aiming to continue building momentum away at Egremont after a solid start this season.

The Blues are hopeful of travelling to Bleach Green with a strong squad after the return of Ben Hughes, Paul Dean and Jack Budgeon in the pack.

The backs also see Sam Dutton continue at scrum half, where he will add a tactical approach to the game away from home – somewhere the Blues have struggled.

Dutton will continue with a strong back line, with the likes of Ryan Cunningham and Lee Starkey hopeful of continuing their impressive start’s to the season.

Noticeable absentees this week are Mike Backhouse and Charlie Martin, who both return to America.

Furness can expect a tough, physical contest where they will have to make sure they dictate the style of rugby they want to play and not get dragged down to a forward dominated game.

Skipper Corne Els will want another pleasing result away from home to continue the Blues’ push at the top of the table.
