GORDON Park gets to see his Millom RUFC team in action again tomorrow when they host higher-level Fleetwood in their second pre-season friendly.

Park has taken over coaching duties for the 2016/17 season, with the first XV comprising plenty of familiar faces and some players who have stepped up from the colts team.

Skipper Ian Cummings and vice-captain Ryan Park will have the role of bringing along the younger players, while the likes of Steve Watson, John Falconer, Chris Parks, Callum Lamont, Jarty Robinson, Kevin Rogan and Adam Redhead all return to the fold.

Joe Tomlinson, Steven Forster and Kieran Coulson are back too after getting their first taste of senior rugby last season, with Robbie Pattinson, Michael Kirkham and Callum Loughran all making the step up to open-age rugby.

A big recruitment drive and work done in growing the junior section means Millom will be able to field a second team this season as well.

Millom suffered a defeat to Hawcoat Park last week in horrendous conditions, but are optimistic playing against the likes of them and their fellow North Lancs and Cumbria league outfit Fleetwood will improve their game.

Off the field tomorrow, there will be live bands at Wilson Park during the day, with the bar open to visitors as well.

Old and new players are also welcome to join Millom for training, which takes place every Tuesday and Wednesday at 6.30pm.
