HAWCOAT Park put their five-game unbeaten run to the test when they host North Lancs/Cumbria League leaders Carlisle tomorrow.

The table-toppers were the last team to defeat the Maroon and Whites, winning 46-13 at the end of November, but Hawcoat have gone on a fine run since then, which has seen them firmly establish themselves in the top five.

In the Cumbria League, Windermere are looking to build on a big win last weekend when they host second-placed Keswick, while Furness make the trip up the M6 to take on strugglers Carlisle Crusaders and Millom return to action against Whitehaven.

HAWCOAT PARK v CARLISLE

(Hawcoat Lane, 2.15pm)

HAWCOAT are at home in a massive game as they take on table-toppers Carlisle, but they are more than capable of taking the points given the form they have been in of late.

Selection will be difficult, with props Ryan Milner, Andy Kent, Jason Priss and John Donnan all looking to fill the two front-row shirts, with Adam Grainger the man at hooker.

The second row should be nailed on, with Ash Mowat and Dan White a huge force to be reckoned with.

The back row will have Callum Ramsey, Will Mallinson and Mike Lightfoot in position, who are game-changers.

Jonny Burrows is missing, Jack Shannon may go at scrum half, freeing up George Smith at fly-half.

The wings are likely to see Glenn Kaighan and Will Coles keep the jerseys, with Elliot McDermott attacking from the back.

Centre Chris Burns will be looking for Matt Sayle to join him.

CLITHEROE v HAWCOAT PARK A

HAWCOAT seconds are on the road at Clitheroe as theybuild up to their last-16 National Cup game at Oldershaw next week.

Skipper Martin Kennedy will be looking to take the pack forward, with Ryan Brown never far from the action.

Jonny Moses will lead the game at fly-half, with Scott Garnett and Adam Williamson both getting the nod.

Jay Crowe and Dave Wynne are building the centre partnership well in midfield and may be joined by Jake Vial in the backs.

Jordan Garnett makes a return after work commitments and will be an asset in the pack in a strong-looking team.

WINDERMERE v KESWICK

(Dawes Meadow, 2.15pm)

AFTER a massive 56-0 win at St Benedicts, which was halted with 15 minutes to go, the Ambers are back at Dawes Meadows as they take on Keswick.

They look to go unchanged, so captain Jamie Hardman will be alongside a steady front-three with Dan Harrison and Luke Todd.

Jonny Benson and Tadgh Butler in the second row will look to give the forwards drive and get-up-and-go.

The back row of Connor Mayer, Joe Hallam and John Sheasby will need to be quick to the break down to get good quick ball to scrum half Dan Nield.

Bertie Hodgeson, at fly-half, is the main man and will need to be on form to help James Dootson and Moses Dawson get away from the centre berths.

Full-back Andy Duncan is coming into his game and will be looking for wing men Liam Garnett and Tom Atkinson to not only back him up when he attacks at will, but to be on hand to finish off the moves he will potentially make.

CARLISLE CRUSADERS v FURNESS

THE Blues are away as they travel north to face Carlisle’s second team.

Furness have been climbing the Cumbria League well and find themselves in mid-table, but they are sure to push on in the second half of the season.

Rhys Studt leads the team into battle from the back row, with Corne Els and Tom Brannon keeping him company.

The second row has an international feel to it, with New Zealander Dillan Taputu joining forces with Irishman Martin Ward to keep front men Paul Dean and Leon Sweet on their toes.

Jordan Ashton will be hopeful of keeping hold of the scrum half shirt and get good clean ball to his backs lead by Adam Jackson at stand-off.

Tez Nueto moves in from the wing to form an awesome-looking centre pairing alongside Steve Perry.

Hat-trick hero from last time out, Ryan Cunningham, stays out wide, with young winger Rhys Humphries hugging the opposite touchline.

Alex Brown brings up the rearguard at full-back in a team which may well see Craig McKinnon getting chance to show his silky skills.

WHITEHAVEN v MILLOM

MILLOM’S first XV are back in action after a number of weeks with no game.

They find themselves on the road from to Whitehaven in the Cumbria League.

Skipper Ian Cummings will be looking for the squad to hit the ground running and is joined in the front three by Dean Doyle and Steve Watson.

Robbie Pattinson is at scrum half and will be linking up with the enigmatic Ryan Carter at fly-half.

Out wide are Kyle Barnes and Mikey Holmes looking to take the game to their opponents, with the men inside them, Craig Mounsey and Jordan Moyes, more than capable of putting the wingers away.
