THERE'S a double dose of derby action as Furness host Millom and Ambleside take on the Wilson Park club's second string tomorrow.

In-form Hawcoat Park travel north looking to upset North Lancs/Cumbria League leaders Carlisle, while Windermere are also in the county capital.

Furness v Millom

(Strawberry Grounds, 2.15pm)

WITH home advantage, Furness will be looking for the winning points in this Cumbria League derby tussle.

The Blues welcome back Tez Nueto following his rugby league international duties for Thailand, and Chris Dalton is also back in the fold after two years away from the game.

The second row stays the same with Aaron Pike and James Tyson taking control. The back row will no doubt contain the dynamic duo of Rhys Studt and Joe Mallinson in it, while player-coach Dillon Tapatu could move to the front row, alongside the returning Leon Sweet.

Sam Attard looks to move to full-back with exciting new find Ryan Cunningham on the flank after three man-of-the-match performances. Andy Brannon is also back in the reckoning.

* My apologies to Furness players and fans for incorrectly stating they had lost a couple of matches they had in fact won. This was due to a website technical issue which has since been resolved.

Ambleside v Millom seconds

(Galava Park 2.15pm)

ANOTHER derby sees Ambleside take on Millom seconds.

The Lake District side will be looking to skipper Paul Longster to lead the troops to victory, with namesake Keenan never far from the action.

Alfie White, Rory Seekings and Greg Machino are a real handful on their day and will look to get on top. Ben and Steve Matthew in the centres will look to take Millom on in the backs, helped by fly-half Matt Burrows.

Millom are travelling with a mixture of experience and youth. Simon Long help in the pack alongside Callum Lamont and Kieron Rogan, who are both out to prove a point and push towards the first team.

Bobby Wright and Kyle Barns are bright prospects and have the talent to take on any defence. Critical for Millom if they are to win is that Joe Fisher and Mike Kirkham use their energy from flanker to get around the field and upset the Ambleside attacks.

Carlisle v Hawcoat

AFTER a great home win over Silloth at Craven Park last week, Hawcoat Park are back on the road as they travel north to face top-of-the-table North Lancs/Cumbria League side Carlisle.

The maroon and whites go virtually unchanged with Will Coles the only casualty after suffering a broken hand for his two-try heroics in the 48-14 victory over Silloth.

Up front Jason Priss, Adam Grainger and Ryan Milner take the reins as they look to dominate the opposition, with the second row duo of captain Dan White and Ash Mowat pushing the front three on and playing their usual open, expansive game.

Johnny Burrows is at scrum half and will be looking to his back row trio of vice Will Mallinson, Callum Ramsey and Mike Lightfoot to clean up any loose ball and give him opportunity to get clean ball away to the backs.

George Smith will be pulling the strings at fly-half with the superb Chris Burns and Matty Sayle in the centre looking to control both defence and attack.

At full-back former Barrow winger Lee Haney takes over, with Glenn Kaighan taking the injured Coles' position out wide and Ryan Clegg looking to use his pace to get over the whitewash. It is going to be a tough one for Hawcoat, but the way they are playing the win is possible.

Hawcoat seconds v Vale of Lune fourths

(Hawcoat Park 2.15pm)

IT'S been a number of years since these two teams met at senior level and it should be an interesting clash at Hawcoat Park.

A great game last week saw Hawcoat unluckily defeated 20-16 at Upper Eden so they will be looking to make amends.

Rory Sayle returns and will no doubt be alongside big Luke Shaw in the engine room with Ryan Brown, Jordan Garnett and Paul Woodburn up front taking on all-comers. Lewis Sayle will look after the backs helped by Jay Crowe and Dan Hayes, with the ever-present Dave Wynne on hand with his strong-running game.

The return of Harrison Obrien is a massive fillip and with Conner McDermott and Rodney Odandi coming into the back line the side has a good look about it.

Last week’s debutant and former Colt Charlie Butterworth will be keeping his shirt and will hopefully be joined by Kyle Waterson, Jack Shannon, Austin Meadows and Joe Rea in their pursuit of glory.

Carlisle seconds v Windermere

AFTER last week's superb 42-7 home victory against St Benedicts, Windermere hit the road and travel north to play Carlisle seconds.

They go unchanged for the first time in a while as they look to climb the Cumbria One table.

Andrew Duncan will be taking control of defence from full-back with wingmen Conor Maher and Liam Garnett looking to cover and get on the scoresheet.

Up front, skipper Jamie Hardman is joined by Conor Vetes Young and Dan Harrison. The pack also sees Johnny Benson and Tadhg Butler keep their second row partnership on the right track and help take the side forward. The back row could win the game for the Ambers in the loose, so the weight of expectation lies firmly on the shoulders of Joe Turner, Joe Hallam and John Sheasby.
