MORE experienced rugby league heads have been brought back into the game with the launch of a new Masters side.
Hindpool Tigers played their first over-35s game against the Barrow RL Masters at Redwaters.
The Brisbane Park club formed their new side last month, with the fixture at Roose Pioneers' home – switched at late notice as their home ground was waterlogged – marking their debut.
Playing against a Barrow side with experienced Masters players in their ranks – including Great Britain players such as Vic Logan – they enjoyed the start to their life back in RL.
Graham Shaw, who organised the team, said: “It was great – we are buzzing. I can't wait to do that again. Hopefully we can encourage some more lads to join us.”
