BARROW Island A celebrated being crowned Barrow and District League champions with a final-day victory over Roose Pioneers.
Island were presented with the Furness Tile and Flooring trophy after their 30-10 victory at Rating Lane.
They finished four points clear of runners-up Askam in the final reckoning, with both teams landing home semi-finals in the top-four play-offs.
Barrow Island will again welcome Roose on Friday night, having dominated the first half against them in the league encounter (6.30pm kick-off).
They led 26-4 at the break, with Luke Thompson scoring a hat-trick. Roose were better in the second half, and will hope to build on that display in the play-offs.
The other semi-final sees Askam host Walney Central on Wednesday night (7pm kick-off).
