HAWCOAT Park could move up to third in North Lancs/Cumbria League tomorrow if they triumph at Upper Eden and other results go their way.

The Maroon and Whites are seeking to make it three wins in a row following a thrilling victory at Fleetwood last time out and head to the Kirkby Stephen-based side full of confidence.

In the county league, Ambleside are aiming to build on their 30-point victory at home to Whitehaven when they head to Wigton's second string and Millom's second team host Cockermouth.

UPPER EDEN v HAWCOAT PARK

HAWCOAT are riding high after a great away win at Fleetwood last time out and, with the A team also winning away at Blackburn thirds, selection will be interesting this week.

There should not be many changes to the winning team, but with Will Mallinson possibly good to go, he may get the nod at Upper Eden.

The front three will be selected from props Ryan Milner, John Donnan and Andy Kent, with Adam Grainger in the middle at hooker.

The engine room will have the colossal duo of captain Dan White and Ash Mowat, who have enjoyed great seasons so far.

Callum Ramsey, Mike Lightfoot and Matty Sayle will hope to keep their jerseys, with Jonny Burrows and Jack Shannon battling for the scrum half shirt.

James Howden may come in at fly-half after his superb last minute drop-goal last week, with the influential George Smith moving to full-back.

Chris Burns and Jack Sutherland will look to continue in the centres, with Ryan Clegg and Glenn Kaighan keeping the pace outside.

A win could see the Maroon and Whites move to third, as Wigton take on Aspatria.

WIGTON A v AMBLESIDE

AFTER a great home win 40-10 against Whitehaven, Ambleside find themselves on the road as they travel north to face Wigton's second team in Cumbria League Two.

One big change sees skipper Paul Longster move from his regular second-row place to the back row, leaving fellow lock Jacob Taylor to fend for himself, with a helping hand from Andrew Clayton.

Up front, there is no change, with the powerhouses of Pip Houghton, Greg Stevenson and Mike Gibson taking on all comers.

Joining Longster in the back row will be Gregg Machino and Alfie White, who will be full of confidence after last week's win.

Play between Keenan Longster at scrum half and fly-half Pete Holgate will be ever-important as they look to get good clean ball to the back division.

With Matt Middlemiss and Steven Matthews in the centres, Ambleside are capable of taking on any team in both defence and attack.

Lewis Kelly has been playing well as of late at full-back, and will look to support wing men Tim Horsfall and Rory Townsend at every opportunity.

MILLOM A V COCKERMOUTH A

(Wilson Park, 2.15pm)

MILLOM'S young guns take to the field at Wilson Park against a strong Cockermouth team, looking for victory on their home turf in what should be a very physical test for the side in Cumbria League Two.

The front three will be big, with Steven Watson, Callum Loughran and Simon Long all looking to get on top early doors.

The second row has a strong look, with Macaulay Clarke and Daryl Smith, and a back row looking to dominate the game contains Bobby Wright, Joe Laydon and Joe Fisher.

Robbie Pattinson and Jordon Moyes will be link between pack and the backs, with Chris Park and Ryan Carter in the centres.

The pace-setters on the wings, Morgan Tyson and Michael Ryce, will look to get ball early, with John Falconer adding some class playing at full-back.

The bench will be chosen from veteran Ian Fisher – coming back to help out when needed – Dale McGlaughlin, David Thompson, Nathan Bennett, Ian Armstrong, Gordon Park, and Millom will be up for a good performance in front of their own crowd.
