WALNEY A-team’s cup final date this weekend means Cents first team are in action tonight.
Barry Butterworth’s youthful Cents second string take on Kells A in the Cumbria Shield final at Craven Park on Saturday (kick-off 2.30pm).
As a result, Walney first team’s Cumbria League derby clash with Ulverston has been rescheduled for tonight at Dragley Beck tonight (7pm kick-off).
Both sides will be desperate for victory with Ulverston lying bottom of the eight-team division and Walney only one place above them.
Butterworth’s Cents A-team qualified for the final by beating Broughton Red Rose A 34-30 at Central Drive, while Kells A defeated Cents’ Barrow And District League rivals Askam A 38-10 in the other semi-final.
