ASKAM are aiming for a return to the CJS Knock Out Cup final when they face Walney Central in the last four tonight.

The holders currently sit second in the league, although the semi-final at the neutral venue of Redwaters sees them face a Cents side which enjoyed a 42-12 win over Dalton in the Furness Tile and Flooring League last week.

Adam Nicholson ran in two tries for Walney, along with kicking three goals, while Conner Pearce, Jack Rushton, Tom Cornthwaite, Joe McMullan, Zack Middlehurst and Elliott Bibby got one try apiece.

Dalton's reply came in the form of two tries from Zack Steel and one for Jack Crarey, and they return to league action tonight away to Barrow Island, who can clinch the league title with a win.

The other Knock Out Cup semi-final being played tonight is at Kelland Park, where Hindpool Tigers take on Ulverston, who have completed their Cumbria League fixtures for the year.

Meanwhile, there will be a trial for the Cumbria under-19s team held at Millom on Wednesday, August 23, kicking off at 6.30pm.

Tonight's fixtures (kick-off 7pm): CJS Knock Out Cup: Hindpool Tigers v Ulverston (Kelland Park), Askam v Walney Central (Redwaters). Furness Tile and Flooring League: Barrow Island v Dalton.
