ISLAND gained their first away win of the season coming from 20-10 down to clinch victory.
The Rating Lane side went in at the break 10-8 up before two converted tries enabled the Wakefield side to go ahead at 20-10. Island, well led by man of the match Joe Spencely, never gave up the chase and were rewarded with a further sixteen points without reply.
Tries came from Ryan Clegg 2, Tez Nueto, Josh Banham and Jake Stockdale, with three goals from Matt Parkinson.
Island raised £405 for the family of 14-year-old Evan Hawksworth who died following a head tackle in a recent Stanley under-14s game with Batley Boys.
