ASKAM aim to retain the CJS Knockout Cup tonight when they take on Hindpool Tigers in the final at Craven Park (kick-off 7pm).

The Villagers began their defence of the title with a 32-18 win away to eventual Furness Tile and Flooring League champions Barrow Island, and were then given a walkover by Walney Central in the semi-finals.

Hindpool had a bye in the first round, but defeated Ulverston 24-22 in a thrilling semi-final at Dragley Beck to secure their final berth.

The two teams have endured differing fortunes in the league this year, with Askam qualifying for the Top Four competition and reaching the final while Hindpool have propped up the table for much of the year. However, this still promises to be an enthralling final.
