The latest Furness Floor and Tiling league action saw Askam take the spoils 15-10 in a thrilling game against a spirited Roose side.
Dillan Taputu and Corne Els scored tries for Pioneers, with Euan James kicking a goal. Dan Rhodes, Dale Lampton and Sam Broadley crossed the whitewash for the Villagers, with Jack Cairns adding a goal and putting over a drop-goal.
Dalton beat Ulverston 22-14 in a nip-and-tuck game, clinching victory in the latter stages.
Jack Gedling, Ross Clayton, Tom Sharp, Ross Coulson and Eddie Tyson were the Dalton try-scorers. Joe Crarey kicked a goal.
For Ulverston, Dave John, Kieron Potter and Josh Procter scored tries and Jordan Moyes landed a goal.
Hindpool were unable to raise a side against Barrow Island.
