ASKAM and Millom will face each other in a re-run of this year’s Barton Townley Cup final when the 2017 competition kicks off.

The area’s two National Conference League teams, who will play each other in Division Two next year as well, were drawn against each other for the first round of the Barrow and District knock-out competition.

Millom will travel to Fallowfield Park seeking to avenge the 36-22 defeat to Askam at Craven Park in the final, when the two clash on February 18.

The winners will play either Ulverston or Hindpool Tigers in the semi-finals, while the other last four match will see Dalton or Barrow Island play Walney Central or Roose Pioneers.

The Frank Reid Cup sees Dalton host Askam and Ulverston at home to Hindpool, with Walney and Island getting byes to the semi-finals.

Barton Townley Cup draw (first round February 18): Walney Central v Roose Pioneers; Dalton v Barrow Island; Ulverston v Hindpool Tigers; Askam v Millom.

Semi Final Draw: Dalton or Barrow Island v Walney Central or Roose Pioneers; Askam or Millom v Ulverston or Hindpool Tigers.

Frank Reid Cup draw: First round (March 4): Dalton v Askam, Ulverston v Hindpool Tigers, Walney Central bye, Barrow Island bye.

Semi-finals: Ulverston or Hindpool Tigers v Barrow Island, Dalton or Askam v Walney Central.
