SUPER League referee Gareth Hewer will be back in Barrow next month to take a development session with match officials from the area.
The Cumbrian whistler recently joined another of rugby league's top referees, Ben Thaler, for a development night with referees from the county at Craven Park.
Hewer, who took charge of the 2016 Challenge Cup final, will be at Hindpool Tigers' Brisbane Park for the next session on Monday, July 2, starting at 6.45pm.
Before then, the Barrow And District Referees Society will be putting on a match officials training course at the same venue, starting at 5.30pm.
They are particularly interested in attracting open-age players or anyone aged between 15 and 17 who would like to get on the ladder to progress up the officiating ranks.
