ROOSE Pioneers will be presented with the Barrow and District League trophy tonight after an outstanding season.

The Redwaters side host third-placed Askam in their penultimate regular-season fixture, with the title already sewn up.

The Villagers will be looking for a win to keep them in the top three, after they came unstuck at Walney Central last week, going down 30-16.

A win for the villagers would have moved them into second place, above Dalton, but the result was important for Walney, who – with only one game to go – can steal fourth place – and a spot in the play-offs – from Barrow Island should they slip up in either of their remaining two.

Adam Ford was in fine form for Cents against Askam, as he scorched in for three tries. Harry Gee, Jake Deveraux, Thomas Hawkes, and Jordan Staffieri were the other try-scorers, while Staffieri added three goals.

For Askam, Chris Vanstone, Cameron Cooper, Jake Lampton were the try-scorers, with Brad Jackson kicking two goals.

Dalton go to bottom-of-the-league Hindpool tonight, with the Tigers having lost their match with Ulverston 50-12 last week.

The result saw Ulverston climb out of the basement for the first time this season, above their opponents.

Tom Heighton and Connor Goodings were the Hindpool try-scorers, with Goodings kicking two goals.

Barrow Island travel to Millom in the last of tonight's games, where an Island victory will keep them in the box-seat to claim that all-important fourth spot.
