IT is derby day in the Cumbria League, as Millom host Furness.

Hawcoat Park head to North Lancs/Cumbria League high-fliers Keswick, buoyed by their victory over Fleetwood.

Elsewhere Park seconds are at home to Clitheroe and Windermere travel to Egremont.

MILLOMv FURNESS

(Wilson Park, 2.15pm)

MILLOM entertain Furness in what should be a cracking Cumbria League derby at Wilson Park.

The battle of the Blues will see Millom go strong, with the likes of Kieran Rogan, Dean Doyle, Steve Watson and Kieran Coulson all looking for a front-row start.

Young guns Joe Thomlinson and Charlie Emslie will be pushing for a second-row berth, with the back row of Craig Mounsey, Matthew Jordan and captain Trevor Dixon capable of disrupting Furness’s all-round play.

Robbie Pattinson and Joe Moyes are the half-back combination and will look to get the game on the front foot from the off.

The reliable Chris Park moves to centre, and will play alongside either Ryan Carter or Jarty Robinson, with one of the three moving to the wing to join Kyle Barnes as the wide men.

Millom will be hoping to finally get their game up and running as they look to take the points on offer.

High-flying Furness go into the game with plenty of options.

Captain Corne Els will be leading the squad from the back row, with Joe Mallinson and Rhys Studt in close attendance.

The front row is boosted by the return of the robust Leon Sweet, who will anchor the scrum, while the versatility of Dillan Taputu will see him partnering Sweet.

Scrum half Sam Dutton will be looking to open the game up and supply good clean ball to Adam Nicholson at stand-off.

Tez Nueto will enjoy the doubtless perfect conditions under foot, with Alex Brown on the opposite flank adding extra pace.

Lee Starkey at full-back continues to provide a secure pair of hands in both defence and attack for the Strawberry Grounds side.

KESWICKv HAWCOAT PARK

AFTER a superb, much-needed win at home to Fleetwood last week, Hawcoat head to Keswick, who stand third in North Lancs/Cumbria League and are having a great season.

There a few changes this week due to unavailability, but Park will still travel strong, with a couple of second-teamers stepping in to lend a hand.

Ryan Milner, Adam Grainger and Andy Kent take up the front-row mantle, and will be pushed on by Ash Mowat and John Donnan from the second row.

Skipper Brad Morrow leads from the back row, with Joe Rea stepping up alongside Mike Lightfoot in a dynamic three.

Lewis Sayle returns to the side at scrum half and links up with regular stand-off James Howden.

The back line is still waiting on injury updates, but one man who will be in the centres is Chris Burns, whose attacking efforts last week helped set up the 29-20 win over Fleetwood.

Wide men Rodney Odondi and Glenn Kaighan are the men with pace looking for plenty of action and hoping for support from full-back Will Coles.

HAWCOAT PARK Av CLITHEROE

(Hawcoat Park, 2.15pm)

HAWCOAT seconds have a long-awaited home game as they take on Clitheroe in the North West Intermediate League.

Last week’s disappointing defeat at Rochdale needs to be put firmly behind Park as they look to consolidate fourth place – if not improve on their current standing.

The return of Mike Gibson will be a big lift, and he will feature in the front row alongside Ryan Brown and Mark Hall.

Captain Martin Kennedy will continue with Luke Shaw in the engine room, with Rory Sayle, Matt Robson, Harry Higgins, Connor Vetes and Jackson Glynn all competing for one of three back-row shirts.

Scott Garnett continues at scrum half, with Joe Dalton hopefully taking up the mantle of fly-half. Both will be looking for good ball from the forwards.

Colt debutant Keenan Cotton will be competing for a place in the backs.

Dan Hayes, Adam Armstrong and Jay Crowe are also all in with a shout, alongside centres Dave Wynne and James Dallimore, who will be looking for more control in centre-field.

Matt Burrows and Col Wright are also available.

EGREMONTv WINDERMERE

THE Ambers travel to Cumbria League bottom side Egremont on a high after last week’s win at Carlisle.

There is a great deal of stability in the side, as Windermere look to go virtually unchanged.

Skipper Jamie Hardman will look for more of the same, and this all starts up front as he is joined by Dan Harrison and Luke Todd.

The twin towers of Phil Murphy and Tadhg Butler keep the front three on their toes, with trio Conor Maher, Josh Dawson and Johnny Benson the terriers in the back row.

There is a return for Dave Wiggins after injury as he starts out wide, with Tom Atkinson on the opposite wing.

They will be looking for good quick ball from the half-back pairing Liam McKinnon and Bertie Hodgson, at scrum half and fly-half respectively.

Neil Piggott and Moses Dawson take a look at centrefield and must take every opportunity that comes their way.

Andy Duncan is at full-back, with a strong bench.
