HAWCOAT Park face a must-win home game against fellow North Lancs/Cumbria League strugglers Littleborough.

In the Cumbria League, Millom make the trip to the South Lake District to face Windermere, while Furness head north to Silloth.

HAWCOAT PARK v LITTLEBOROUGH

(Hawcoat Park, 3pm)

AFTER giving a good account of thermselves in a 24-7 defeat to leaders De La Salle, Hawcoat Park need to produce the same kind of display against relegation rivals Littleborough.

And most importantly, the Maroon and Whites need winning points in their battle to avoid the drop from the North Lancs/Cumbria League.

Park packman Ryan Brown keeps his first-team shirt and will be joined in the front three by Adam Grainger and the returning John Donnan. The engine room looks likely to be in the hands of Ash Mowat and Ryan Milner in a strong-looking partnership.

Captain Brad Morrow leads from the back-row and has Callum Ramsey and big Grady Slater as his fellow ball winners in the absence of Alfie White.

James Howden moves to scrum half, with George Smith at fly-half.

Centre-field will be looked after by the returning Chris Burns and the aggressive running of Josh Vial, with wing men Rodney Odondi and Matt Burrows more than capable of finishing.

George Hilton is at full-back and Dan White, Matt Robson and Scott Garnett on the bench.

WINDERMERE v MILLOM

(Dawes Meadow, 3pm)

MILLOM head to Dawes Meadows to take on Windermere in what looks like being a great game of rugby.

A strong Millom squad has been selected in the hope of unlocking the Ambers defence in this Cumbria League match-up.

Robbie Pattinson will continue at scrum half, linking up with stand-off Chris Park.

Kevin Rogan, Dean Doyle and Steve Watson will try to get on top of the Mere front three, with the likes of Keiran Coulson and Joe Thomlinson always on hand to disrupt the breakdown, and win any loose ball.

Skipper Trevor Dixon will look to his troops to take the game to Mere, with backs Jarty Robinson, Ryan Carter and Jordan Moyes hoping to be heavily involved. Player/coach Adam Redhead has named himself almong the substitutes.

Millom (from): Kevin Rogan, D Doyle, S Watson, M Jordan, K Coulson, J Tomlinson, P Moore, T Dixon, R Pattinson, C Park, Joe Moyes, J Robinson, A Mellen, S Robertson, Jordan Moyes, R Carter, J Falconer, K Barnes, A Redhead.

SILLOTH v FURNESS

FURNESS make the long journey to the north of the county to face Silloth hoping to consolidate their top-four position in the Cumbria League.

Niggling injuries have had an impact on the squad selection, but the return of skipper Corne Els is a real bonus. Els moves into the second row to make way for Mike Backhouse, who has found a new lease of life in his new role as flanker.

Joe Mallinson and Rhys Studt partner Backhouse, with the returning Sam Dutton foraging at scrum half.

Experience at fly-half comes from Steve Neale, who will be looking to supply the centre partnership of Steve Perry and Rhys Humphreys with quality ball.

James Armitstead on the wing will be looking to support Sam Attard sweeping up at full-back and both have their eyes on expansive rugby as Furness hope to move the ball wide on what is sure to be a firm playing surface.

ORRELL v HAWCOAT PARK A

HAWCOAT seconds are still in the throws of pulling a squad together, but with regulars all good to go, their North West Intermediate League Division Four trip to Orrell should be an interesting one.

Captain Martin Kennedy will take the team forward from the second row alongside youngster Luke Shaw, who is having a great season.

Peter Steele could see himself in a pivotal role in the forwards, joining Peter Jennens and the returning Mark Woodburn in a strong pack.

Joe Dalton is set to play at stand-off, with Adam Williamson at scrum half.

Col Wright and Dave Wynne will control the back division and can rely on Jay Crowe and Adam Armstrong to take the ball in as required.

Harry Higgins has also put his hand up in what is a good side on paper.
