DALTON Girls FC will be celebrating a fantastic season of success at their annual presentation evening next month.

The club's outstanding young footballers have won several trophies this season from under-10s up to under-15s level.

Dalton Girls under-10s Aces were undefeated in the friendly U10s Barrow Junior League and claimed the cup double, they also claimed third place in the South Lakes U11s cup.

The U10s Braves team finished as joint U10s League runners-up and also reached the cup final and shared the community shield.

The under-11s (playing a year above their age) were beaten cup finalists and runners-up in the Barrow U12s Junior league but were successful at their own age group in the friendly South Lakes U11 league.

They also won the U11s cup final defeating Morecambe 2-1 last Sunday.

The under-12s girls also romped to a Barrow Junior League and cup double. They beat their under-11s club mates in a dramatic penalty shoot-out following a gripping final at Holker Street.

The senior side had to fight back from a 2-0 half-time deficit to draw the game 3-3 – thanks in chief to a hat-trick from Tilly Bibby. The third of Bibby's treble came direct from a corner with only seconds of normal time remaining.

That was tough luck on the under-11s, and the under-12s then finished the job with a 2-1 penalty shoot-out victory.

The U13s who play in the South Lakes League are currently in second place having beaten Kendal Utd (who up to that point had been unbeaten all season) 2-0 last Sunday.

With now only one point behind Kendal the league will be decided this weekend.

Completing a memorable season for the club, the under-15s won the South Lakes League.

The presentation evening takes place at Dalton CC on Friday June 29 (7pm for 7.3pm start) Admission is free for players with a door charge of £2 for parents/friends etc.
