The Westmorland and North West Lancashire Shield is an annual competition with 14 clubs competing for a gross or handicap shield, with no club being able to win both shields. Each team consists of seven players, with five of their scores counting.

Ulverston came out on top in the Gross Shield with a score of 397, while Cousins won the individual gross with 79 (nett 76).

Ulverston Lady Captain Mavis Hall congratulated all the winners, thanked Lancaster for hosting the competition and complimented the club on the superb condition of the course and also for providing an excellent meal.
