SOME of South Cumbria's top throwers will step up to the oche for the Red River Invitation Darts Competition on Saturday.

The event is open to all players who entered any of the eight Grand Prix rounds in 2016, with 65 contenders eligible.

There will also be an open singles and a blind pairs competition.

Players are asked to attend by noon for a 12.30pm start.
