The race takes place on Wednesday August 10, when runners will weave through the streets of Ulverston from Glaxo Sports Club, before heading out to Conishead Priory and then retracing their steps on a fast and flat course.
With it being the 30th anniversary of the popular event, organisers are keen to see a bumper entry and have sent out a special invite to any club members who took part in that first race back in 1986.
Race director Louise Halliday said: “It couldn’t be a better year to celebrate this milestone as running has seen a massive growth in popularity around the town, and we’d love to see as many as runners as possible on the night.
“It is a popular race on the circuit supported by many of the successful local running clubs, along with athletics clubs from all over the North West.”
To celebrate the special event, Glaxo Hoad Hill Harriers have commissioned a celebratory medal to be presented to all finishers of the 10k and children’s one-mile fun run and small mementos as a thank you for their support over the years.
Registration from Glaxo Sports club will open at 6pm. The children’s fun run starts at 7pm and the 10k at 7.30pm.
Entry details are on the club website at www.hoadhill harriers.co.uk
