ROSS Campbell added to his ever-growing list of race wins with victory in the 30th annual Glaxo Hoad Hill Harriers Autumn 5k.

The Barrow and Furness Striders runner completed the course in an impressive 16 minutes and 9 seconds to take the overall win and be the first under-23 competitor across the line.

He was 16 seconds in front of runner-up Jason Parker, of Preston, and the final podium spot was taken by Black Combe Runners' Harry Stainton in a season-best time 16.36.

Campbell is in a rich vein of form. He won the Dalton Charter 10k in April and recently finished sixth in the Lancaster 5k race in 15.53.

Other Barrow and Furness members taking part were Todd Oakes (17.06), Ryan Everett (17.11), Ian Sadler (19.08), Neil Grace (19.26), Luke Broadbent (20.03), Georgia Cooper (22.04) and Cathrine Grisdale (24.51).

Andrew Jackson was first home for host club Glaxo Hoad Hill Harriers after clocking 19.11, putting him first in the V45 category as well.

Connor O'Hara was not far behind him in 19.20, followed by Tom Southward with a time of 19.37.

The rest of the Hoad Hill contingent were led by Graham Pinder (20.15), with Jeff Chadwick (20.27), Olly Thomas (20.48), Damion Jones (21.19), Kevin Fox (21.31), Curtis Jackson (21.52), Alistaire Macdonald (22.06), Pete Davison (22.54), Tom Evelin (23.03), Mike Lavery (24.12), Simon Barton (24.21), Abi Belcher (24.41), Ian Peters (25.07), Ellie Belcher (25.27) and Anthony Clarke (26.48) all running as well.

Stainton was one of seven Black Combe members competing in the race, with John Shevelan (21.08) and Matthew Allen (21.14) crossing the line close to each other.

James Goffe (22.17), Ian Verber (25.34), Andrew Gittins (25.54) and Karl Fursey (26.27) were the other Black Combe runners to complete the course.
