Handicaps were based on recent 10k, with start times given against the expected fastest runners.
Trophies are also awarded for the fastest times, with the women’s prize going to Sharon Dixon, who clocked 45:43, with guest runner Ryan Everett the fastest man in 38:40.
There were also a number fast times among the rest of the field, with runners thanking organisers Damian Jones, Terry Gannon and Louise Thompson.
Dixon also produced a good run in the Lancaster 10k, where seven members of the Harriers made the trip.
Alongside 231 starters on a warm and humid evening, she was third lady overall in a time of 42:08, to be the first Ulverston runner home.
Pat Thomas (44:11) was next over the line, followed by Kieran Ireland (44:15), Paul Quinn (44:23), Alan Wilson (45:45), Adrian Newnham (47:05, first V60) and Heather Travis (47:42, first FV 40).
The next Hoad Hill event is their summer 10k on August 9, starting at 7.30pm. It will be supported by a one-mile fun-run at 7pm.
