BIG prize money is on offer as the area's top darters head to the oche this weekend.

The final of the Red River and Billy Houston Memorial Grand Prix Darts takes place at the Red River tomorrow.

After eight round of qualifying, 16 players have made it through to the final knockout stages.

The stage is set after Barry Twiname took the honours in the final qualifying round, lifting himself to the top of the leaderboard and setting up a showdown with Toni Ormandy tomorrow in doing so.

The prize money for the play-off is more than £1,000, with the winner taking home £300, the runner-up £120, beaten semi-finalists £60 each, beaten quarter-finalists £30 each, and the remainder of the last 16 £25 each.

Twiname has already guaranteed himself £75 as the leader in the ranking points £75, with the runner-up taking £35 and third place £25.

The furthest lady tomorrow will claim an additional £25, and the highest checkout wins £25.

There will also be an open singles, blind pairs and a quids-in competition held on the day, and all players are welcome.

The draw for the last-16 of the Grand Prix is as follows, with all players asked to attend for 12.30pm for a photograph before the action begins.
