CHRIS Pease has his sights set on once again fighting for top honours ahead of the British Rental Kart Championship this weekend.

The Barrow karter heads to Milton Keynes' Formula Fast circuit for this year's event, which will see racers from across the UK and Europe battling it out.

After little success in the BRKC during his previous two entries, Pease hopes the hard work he has put in ahead of the competition will pay off.

“In preparation for the event, I spent several months attending practice sessions and driver coaching sessions to be as ready as possible,” said Pease.

“My goal is to break into midfield and be close enough to be there if another driver runs in to bad luck, so I can jump in and potentially push for a podium.

“Having made a lot of progress in my driving in 2016, I feel 2017 will be the year it all goes right and I can go back to title-challenging ways.”

The event consists of four heats, with points earned going towards deciding the drivers who will battle it out in the semi-finals.

From those, the best 10 drivers are picked out to compete in the grand final. The champion will earn a paid place in the Kart World Championships in Spain and a cheque for £1,000.

The BRKC will be broadcast on the Livestream website and app.

Pease will also be keeping his social media accounts updated with times for his races. They can be found under Chris Pease Racing on Facebook and @cpracing27 on Twitter.
