CONISTON Casuals regained the Duddon Tennis League title with an impressive unbeaten season.
Pipped by Broughton Square by a single point in the final game last year, Casuals made their intentions clear with wins over Ulverston, Square and Broughton Manor.
However, a hard-earned 5-3 victory away to second-placed Millom proved key and a 4-4 draw with the same opponents, who lost just twice all year, sealed the title.
Casuals’ regular side of Steve Bushell, Katrina Renwick, Jeff Atkinson and Caroline Clutterbuck was well-supported by Jane Ritson, Fergus Jackson, Lindsey Bayles and Zara Rigg.
