CASTLE moved closer to the Barrow and District Mixed Darts League crown after victory against Red River.

Chris Irvine (2x140, 100), Tommy Richardson (140, 134), James Kempster (140, 124), Karen Kirkby (125, 100), Andy Ward (100), Rachael Newsham (100) and double partners Richardson and Kirkby (140, 100) were all in top form.

Red River’s best scores came from Martin Rhodes (134, 100), Martin Yuille (100), Chris Wolstenholme (100) and Tyler Anderson (140, 100).

Harbour hold second place after overcoming Furness CC thanks to Richie Hall (100), Carol McCormack (2x100), Dave Eccles (100), Darren Clarke (100) and Lyndsey Cummings (100).

On form for the Cricketers were Garry Thompson (2x100), Mike Fletcher (2x140) and the doubles pairing of Gary and Judith Thompson (122, 100).

Masons improved their position with a good win over Kill-One A, as Roy Chambers (2x100) and Kieran McDaid (144) played well. Replies came from Brian Charlton (100) and Dave Hamer (100).

In Division One, Horse and Jockey are still in front, with Labour Club moving into second after a narrow win over the Newton.

Top-scoring for the Newton were Gemma Sibbett (100), Garry Bennett (100) and Steve Forster.

Raiders Bar continue to improve, with victory at the Clarence. Dale Sneesby (105, 100), Chris Wilson (100), Maria McGlaughlin (100) and Scott McGurkin (100) were their top-scorers.

Replying for the Clarence was Les Quayle, with a 138 knock up, and the doubles pairing of Jimmy Ross and Wendy Huddleston (134, 100).

In Division Two, leaders Last Orders lost to the Golden Ball in a close game. Best for the Dalton side were John Ainsworth (2x100), Jordan Priss (108, 100) and Jacqui Chisman (126).

Last Orders' top-scorers were Kevin Hubbold (100) and S. Hubbold (103).

Duddon SC closed in on the leaders with a convincing success over Costellos. Throwing well for the Askam side were Alan Brown (107 knock-up), Steve Callister (121, 100) and Mike Kellett (100). Costellos' notable scorers were Sue Oldcorn (100) and Steve Bottomley (100).
