Millom frozen out of Challenge Cup tie
Last updated at 16:15, Monday, 03 December 2012
MILLOM will have to try again in their Challenge Cup first round tie against Blackbrook after yesterday’s scheduled match was called off due to a frozen pitch at Fallowfield Park, Askam.
The clubs are now hoping to delay the tie until February.
The BARLA Bulldogs went out of the Dubai Invitational rugby union sevens competition 15-5 to the Great Britain All Stars, after winning their three qualifying games.
The BARLA over-35s team included Barrow Island’s Paul Dean and Dave Wynne. They came up against a team of former league international stars such as Kris Radlinski, Martin Offiah and Jason Robinson.
