LEVENS A suffered a surprising defeat at the hands of club colleagues Levens B in Division One of the Rothay Bowling League.

Elsewhere Staveley A handed out a lesson to Lindale with a 9-1 away victory that moves them into a six-point lead at the top of the table.
In Division TwoStaveley B team seem intent on matching their senior club colleagues with another good home win. They maintain a six-point lead over Allithwaite A.
