Grange four on the rise

THE Grange foursome of Ina Gray, Kathleen Hendley, John Maclachlan and Robin Rose tasted success in the latest county competition.

BRIDGE

The successful quartet triumphed in the Pro-Am Teams event against sides from across Cumbria.

The latest results from Barrow Bridge Club are as follows.

Monday: 1 Ms G Lloyd and P Boardman, 2 G Walker and C Woods, 3 Mrs J Kilty and Mrs J Montague, 4 Mrs P Palmer and B Hubbold, 5 Mrs A Vince and E Parkington, 6 Mrs D Barnes and T Dixon.

Tuesday: North/South: 1 Mrs I Liversedge and Mrs D Shaw, 2 Mrs E Cormack and Mrs J Montagu, 3 Mrs M Scott and Mrs E Williams.

East/West: 1 S Williams and J Winder, 2 Mrs F Abbott and Mrs J Nairn, 3 Mrs D Marston and V Joglekar.

Wednesday: 1 Ms C Skellon and T Ward, 2 J O’Leary and C Woods, 2 P Thompson and G Walker, 4 Mrs W Kavanagh and Mrs C Williamson, 4 Mrs A Vince and B Hubbold, 6 Mrs D Barnes and Mrs J Hill.

Thursday: 1 Mrs E Cormack and Mrs S Loftus, 2 P Ashcroft and C Woods, 3 Mrs K Cooper and S Burge, 4 P Ashton and D Gilbert, 4 Mrs S Gadsden and Mrs P Palmer, 6 T Dixon and L Power.
