HOLKER face Colne in a second round Lancashire Challenge Trophy showdown at Rakesmoor Lane tomorrow night after the tie fell foul of the weather last week (kick-off 8pm).

The winners will play Bamber Bridge at home, with the Stags looking to emulate their cup heroics of last season when they reached the semi-finals of the competition before bowing out 3-0 to Chorley at Leyland.

The dream run saw an unforgettable occasion for Holker when they dumped Conference North high-fliers AFC Fylde out of the competition in a penalty shootout win.

The thrilling encounter saw Holker come from behind on three occasions to draw the match 3-3 after 90 minutes, following a brace from Wayne Curtis and a Jordan Brough strike, with Brad Hubbold, in the resulting penalty shootout, calmly dispatching his sudden-death winner for a 4-3 Holker victory.

Holker were thanking the horrendous weather conditions on Saturday when they were losing 4-1 against Rochdale Town in their North West Counties League One match, before the game was abandoned.
