MILLOM made it four wins out of four in the West Lancs League Division Two with a 3-1 win over Walney Island.

Carl Waters (2) and Jamie Pattinson scored for Millom. Kieron Sollaway replied for the Islanders.

Furness Cavaliers recorded an excellent 4-1 home win over Kendal United. Jordan Hughes (2) Kyle Delves and Chris Cloudesdale were the Cavs scorers.

Tuesday night saw three derbies take place in the West Lancs League. Dalton United continued their fine start to life in the second division as they beat Furness Rovers 2-0, Ben Thompson scored both Dalton's goals. GSK Ulverston Rangers had a narrow 1-0 win over Crooklands Casuals, Andy Whiteford with the match winner.

Askam picked up three points at Hawcoat Park after a 4-1 win. Matt Haythorn put Hawcoat ahead after 20 minutes but Askam were 3-1 up by half-time.

Jordan Rayner was pulling the strings in midfield and helped himself to two goals, he also had a hand in Declan Kells' effort. Hugh McParland put the game beyond Hawcoat halfway through the second half with a superb volley.

The Furness Premier League took centre stage on Wednesday night as a near-on full fixture programme was completed.

Vickerstown Reserves made the short trip to Tummerhill to play Walney Reserves , and with Vickerstown boasting three wins from three and Walney suffering three defeats from three the result was obviously a 1-1 draw!

Andy Higginson put Vickerstown ahead but Jack Westhall equalised for Walney. Both sides spurned gilt-edged chances to take all three points in the last five minutes. Barrow Celtic moved alongside Vickerstown at the top of the table after a 5-2 win against Coniston.

Connor Smith (2) Andy Forristal, Zak Parker and an own goal made up the Celtic tally. Phil Edmondson and Martin Waddell scored for Coniston.

Reigning champions Croftlands beat Hawcoat Park Reserves 3-2 thanks to a Ben Mooney hat-trick. Tom Hammond and Matty Pickering replied for Hawcoat.

Millom Reserves picked up their first points of the season with a 2-1 win over local rivals Bootle. Harry Cowley scored for Bootle. Jamie Cairns and David Harfoot, with his first senior goal after 10 years of trying, were Milloms scorers.

Swarthmoor seem to be enjoying life in the FPL and moved up to fourth after a 3-2 win against Holker Old Boys Res. Graham Wilcox grabbed two goals and Reis Sharp hit a 30-yard thunderbolt for the home side. Steve Forbes and Danny Sawyer scored for Holker.

Furness Cavaliers Res visited Redwaters to play Britannia and left with their first win of the season thanks to a Mike Duncan strike from all of 40 yards and a Scott Linklater goal which came off the back of his penalty being saved.

Luke Vandome scored for the Brit but it wasn’t enough as Cavs ran out 2-1 winners.
