BARROW Celtic ladies are breaching new frontiers next season after moving in the Lancashire FA County League.
The Barrow Celtic Comets will come up against the likes of Bolton Wanderers, Burnley and Wigan Athletic.
The Comets have come up through the ranks in the Barrow and District Junior Girls Football League and have competed in the Cumbria Women's League Under-16s Division.
Having reached open-age football, the team – who are coached by Kevin Crickett – have decided to test themselves at a whole new level.
Celtic will start their pre-season preparations with a match between the Comets and their dads at Ormsgill – where they play their home fixtures – on Friday (6.30pm kick-off).
