WITH the effects of Storm Doris at the back-end of the week, followed by more heavy rain on Friday night, not a single game survived in the Furness and South Cumbria area, writes Steve Brennan.

Three local teams did manage to get a game in on the road, with Crooklands Casuals managing a 1-1 draw in their West Lancs Premier Division clash on the 3G surface at Whitehaven.

Casuals came from a goal behind to draw 1-1, with Dave Mansergh bagging his 15th league goal.

In the First Division Hawcoat also played on a 3G surface at Ladybridge, but they were undone by an 84th-minute goal and slipped to another away defeat.

Hawcoat now have to re-focus as they have a semi-final to look forward to this weekend as they face Poulton in the Presidents Cup.

Askam made the short trip to Milnthorpe and were beaten 3-0.
