GEORGIA Stanway has been named as part of the England Under-19s squad to take on the USA in the double-header next month.

The Barrow teenager is part of a 24-strong squad who will face the Stars and Stripes twice at St George's Park in the space of three days.

The games are part of England's preparations for the UEFA Women's Under-19s Championships, which will take place in Northern Ireland in August.

Stanway made her under-19s debut for England earlier this season, and has had an impressive run since, scoring in every match.

She netted a hat-trick on debut against Italy in a 4-0 win in the La Manga tournament in Spain, and followed up by helping the young Lionesses come through qualifying for the European Championships.

The Manchester City Women's Super League hotshot netted after coming on as a substitute against host nation Turkey in the first match of the qualifiers – a 3-0 win – and also found the target in the 2-0 win over Denmark and the 7-0 thrashing of the Czech Republic.

Stanway, 18, is now part of manager Mo Marley’s squad to host the USA on Wednesday, July 5 and Friday, July 7.

The Young Lionesses head to Northern Ireland for the Euros between August 8 and 22, with the group stage draw due to be made on Thursday.

Marley led England’s Under-19s to Euro glory in Belarus in 2009 – and six of those gold medal winners are in Mark Sampson’s squad for the Euro 2017 finals next month.
