BARROW-BORN defender Ben Davies has penned a new deal with Championship Preston North End.
The 21-year-old Furness Rovers junior – who has been on professional terms at Deepdale since 2013 – has signed a contract to keep him with the Lilywhites until 2019.
An PNE academy graduate who has been with the club for 10 years, Davies made his first-team debut in January 2013 and has made 12 senior appearances.
His most recent – and the first of this season – came in the EFL Cup victory over Premier League AFC Bournemouth last month.
Davies was delighted to pen the deal, and told club website pnefc.net: “I'm over the moon, it's brilliant to commit to this club again.
“I have been here 10 years now and I've enjoyed every minute so far and I'm delighted to still be here.
“I feel like I'm progressing, especially this year, and it's good to now be able to concentrate purely on football now that I'm settled.”
