BARROW Celtic are branching out into women's football after four years of success at under-15s and under-16s level.
The Hoops have entered teams in the Cumbria Women's League over that period – the only side from the south of the county to do so – and hope to take the progress of the game to the next level.
That involved starting an open-age ladies side, with taster training sessions being set up.
They will take place on Thursdays at the Ormsgill Playing Fields on Schneider Road, starting at 7pm. All old and new players are welcome.
