TOPSHINE maintained their 100 per cent start to the Pulse Monday Night League with a thrilling 11-8 win over All Blacks in a crunch top-of-the-table clash.

The former champions finally had their crown taken off them last season, when Unbelievable Jeff pipped them to glory, and have begun in determined mood as they look to regain their trophy.

Topshine faced a tough test against an All Blacks outfit who have been in brilliant form themselves, winning their opening two games.

In a tight contest, a man-of-the-match display from Kyle Delves was the difference, sending Topshine three points clear.

Pique Blinders picked up their first point of the new campaign, drawing 9-9 with Tap Score in a classic.

Five goals from Ben Stoker helped secure the point, with Pique’s other goals coming from Sam Hayes and Luke Mitchell.

Alex Newby (4), Elliot Newby (3), Liam Holmes and Connor Mulholland responded for Tap Score, who will have been disappointed not to get the three points.

Elsewhere ,Weather Day edged Blood, Sweat and Beers 8-7 thanks to six strikes from Carl Pearson, backed up by goals from Dean McClarey and Jonny O’Halloran.

BSB’s replies came from Greg Galloway (3), Andy Benn (2), Tom Park and Greg Reynolds.

In the night’s other Premier Division game, Haz Beens threw away a three-goal lead with five minutes left on the clock in going down 11-9 to NFG.

Making up the Numbers continue to impress in the Championship, a 7-4 victory against Men From Del Monte giving them three wins from three.

My Little Bony’s perfect start was surprisingly ended though, with league new boys Lallana’s in Pyjamas producing a brilliant display to defeat them 8-6, while Forgone Conclusion leapfrogged them into second by beating Dan Doh’s 9-2.
