HAWCOAT Park kept up their 100 per cent start in the West Lancashire League Division One with a 5-1 win on home soil over Milnthorpe Corinthians.

Elliott Moore helped himself to four goals and Hakan McCracken was also on target for Trev Houston’s side who sit top of the league on goal difference.

Second placed Leyland put Askam to the sword with a 7-1 win, with Callum Rayner scoring Askam’s consolation goal.

Crooklands Casuals picked up three points with a 4-1 home win over GSK Ulverston Rangers. Ben Phizacklea (2), Steve Caskie and Dave Mansergh were all on target for Cassies and Jack Gardner replied for GSK.Millom lost 3-0 at home to Stoneclough.

Furness Rovers made it three wins from three after beating Garstang Reserves 3-1 at home. Nath Cloudsdale, Ryan Fagan and Liam Shields scored for Rovers, who are top of Division Two.

Walney travelled to Mill Hill and came away with a 4-0 win. Scoring for the islanders were James Bailey (2), Matt Lockley and Kieran Sollaway.

Dalton United won over Charnock Richard Res 2-1 at Railway Meadow.

Moses Hellingly opened the scoring and super sub Keith Holmes came on to score the winner with his first touch. Furness Cavaliers lost 5-0 at Croston Sports. In the Premier League, two goals from Danny Cummings weren’t enough to stop Vickerstown losing 3-2 at Poulton. Holker had a day to forget in the North West Counties with a 4-0 home defeat at the hands of Nelson.

In The Bargain Booze Furness Premier League Croftlands made it five wins from five with a 4-0 home win over Swarthmoor. Matt Dean (2) Josh Bayliss and Chris Wraighte keeping up their 100 per cent record.

Hawcoat Park Res are second in the table and they had a 4-2 win away at Bootle, goals were from Sam Jefferson (2), Carl Pearson and Lewis Turner. Andrew Knowles and Connor Nuttall replied for Bootle.

Vickerstown Res have also made a good start to the season and they came from behind to beat Millom Res 6-1. Millom led the contest for an hour after the evergreen Andrew Woodburn found the net, but Vickerstown scored six in the last 30 minutes. Youngsters Tom Dawson (4) and Max Green scored while ndy Higginson rolled back the years with a long range free kick. Kirkby beat Britannia 4-0 thanks mainly to a Paul Cleasby hat trick with Sam Pinnegor also on target. Haverigg beat Furness Cavaliers 2-0, Anthony Foster and Joss Garroway on target. Barrow Celtic moved into the top five with a resounding 6-1 win over Dalton United Res. Connor Smith (3) Rob Johnson (2) and Andy Hainey all scoring for Celtic, Danny Leech scored Dalton’s consolation. Walney Reserves made it two wins in two after a 3-0 over Holker Old Boys Res, with Jack Westall, Josh Huitson and Connor Carson all scoring.

Division One action saw Champions Millom A beat Askam Reserves 4-2, Mark O’Brien grabbed a hat trick with Steven Rowe also on target. Bridge United handed a 3-1 defeat to Barrow Celtic Res. Josh Greenwood scoring a hat trick for Bridge. Matty France replying for Celtic. British Legion and Barrow Wanderers shared the points after an 8 goal thriller ended 4-4. Lee Kavanagh, Iaian McDonald, Ste Colqhoun and Paul Williams on target for Legion. Dan Turner scored all 4 for Wanderers who had lead the game 4-1 at one point. A Luke Shaw goal was enough to see Hawcoat A beat Croftlands Res and a Ben Boulton hat trick saw Vickerstown A beat Swarthmoor Res 3-1.

In Division Two Holker Old Boys A team beat Haverigg Res 4-3. James Tyson, Henry Robinson and Alan Craghill were on target for Haverigg. Holkers goals coming from Sam Lightfoot (2) Mason McGregor and Adam Bowes. Millom St James drew 2-2 with Britannia Res. Chris Scott and Greg Waters scoring for Millom. Kirkby Res beat Walney A 2-0, Danny Smith and Josh English their scorers. On Friday night Barrow Wanderers Res faced Coniston and it was Coniston who won by the odd goal in 9. Andrew Warne (3) Callum Bircher and Conner Whirity on target for Coniston. Craig McIlvogue (3) and Tommy Walmsley on the scoresheet for Wanderers.
