CROOKLANDS Casuals reserves have honoured the memory of former manager Greg Unsworth with a new kit.
Greg died in November following a long and brave battle with cancer.
The club held a sponsorship raffle, organised by Kevin Edwards, to help fund the new strip, with Lee Bowron, Paul Beddall, Mossop Monumental Masons, Ross Estate Agents and Travis Perkins all entering.
Lee Bowron won the raffle, and his name is on the front of the shirts, while Greg's name, plus 89-17 – indicating his dates of birth and death – are sewn into the back.
Crooklands secretary Barbara Mansergh said: “Greg was one of the nicest people you could ever meet, and the lads are honoured to wear a Cassies kit in his memory, which includes a special place on the shirt with Greg’s name on.”
A special kit has also been made for Greg's five-year-old daughter Keira.
