THERE were plenty of well-known faces from the area's amateur football scene on display when Vickerstown's 2007 Lancashire Cup winners reunited to face Barrow All Stars in a charity match to raise money for Mark Craig.

The contest was organised to help support Craig, who is battling illness. The likes of Lee O'Keefe and Wayne Curtis took to the field for the All Stars, while Dave Round senior and Charlie Spence were among those pulling the boots for Vickerstown, who triumphed on the day.

Craig, his wife Sue and all the family thanked everybody for putting on a special occasion which attracted huge support.

Sponsors who backed the event were PPS, Lake District Farmers, Morgan Sindall, Optech Fibres, Morsons, Dalton United, Walney Island and Bender UK, while the day was superbly organised by the committee and players of Vickerstown.

Craig also thanked those who have wished him well and the nurses for looking after him. He has been overwhelmed by the support from family and friends who have given up time to look after and support him, but most of all his four Daughters Sophie, Kathryn, Charlotte and Mia.
