CURTIS Anderson will head to China next week after being chosen in the England under-18s squad for the Panda Cup tournament.

The Ulverston goalkeeper is part of head coach Neil Dewsnip's side for the tournament, which features the host nation, Uruguay and Hungary.

Anderson, who helped England to under-17s World Cup glory last year, is one of three goalkeepers chosen in the 19-man squad, and the Manchester City stopper will be competing with Josef Bursik (Stoke City) and William Crellin (Fleetwood Town) for a place.

England kick off the Panda Cup against Uruguay on May 23, with the match against China coming two days later.

The tournament is rounded off against Hungary on May 27 and all matches take place at Shuangliu Sports Stadium in Chengdu.
