GSK Ulverston Rangers claimed their first points of the season with a 5-0 derby demolition of Askam United in West Lancs Division One.

Dave Tomazko’s side were left looking to still break their duck as they met a rampant visiting side at Duddon Road.

Callum Fawcett scored twice, as did Jack Gardner, with Sean Mooney adding the fifth in a resounding victory.

GSK’s James Pinnegor suffered a nasty shoulder injury, which may need surgery. Everyone in the local football scene hopes he has a speedy recovery and is back on the park soon.

Hawcoat Park kept up their 100 per cent start to the season with an excellent 3-1 win at CMB. Frankie Ellis scored an early goal, with Elliot Moore and Hakan McKracken also on the scoresheet.

Crooklands Casuals, missing around five first-team players, lost 5-2 at Kendal County. Matthew Pearson and a Ben Wheeler penalty made up the Cassies tally.

Millom's 19-game home winning streak ended after a 1-0 reversal against Milnthorpe Corinthians.

In the Premier Division, Vickerstown had an emphatic 4-1 home victory over Hurst Green. Summer signing Kyle Delves opened the scoring right on half-time, before Jackson Round grabbed a brace. Sean Paterson sealed a great performance for Dave Round's side.

In Division Two, Furness Rovers are top of the table after two games, following their 4-3 win at home to Croston Sports. Reece Craig, Ryan Barker (2) and Ryan Fagan were their scorers.

Furness Cavaliers beat Mill Hill St Peters 3-2, coming from 2-1 down with only 10 minutes remaining. Tom Harris, Sam Graham and Joe Blackshaw were all on target for Cavaliers, who move up to second in the table.

Walney Island registered their second 1-1 draw on the bounce. Kieran Sollaway scored for Steve McCullough's side against an impressive Horwich outfit. Walney's early missed chances came back to haunt them on the day.

Dalton United drew 1-1 with Garstang reserves. Club record scorer Gareth Jones was on target for Dalton, who were reduced to nine men.

Croftlands have a 100 per cent record in the Riflemans Garage Furness Premier Division, and they sit top of the table after a 10-0 win at home to Millom reserves.

Matt Dean (3), Chris Wraighte (2), Chris Ivison (2), Ben Parkinson, Macaulay Dixon and Ben Donnan shared the goals between them.

Credit to Millom, who were 9-0 down at half-time, but picked themselves up to give a good account of themselves in the second half.

Britannia drew 1-1 with Holker Old Boys reserves. Dean Crossman scored for The Brit and 16-year-old debutant Theo Newby marked his first game for Holker with a goal.

Bootle and Vickerstown reserves played an entertaining game at Millholme, with plenty of chances for both sides. It was Vickerstown who took the points with a 2-1 win.

Youngsters Tom Dawson and Max Green netted for Mark Hammond's side, with Aaron Bradley on target for Bootle.

Haverigg United drew 3-3 with Walney Island reserves. Anthony Foster (2) and Stuart Jeynes were the Haverigg scorers. Joe Walker and Connor Carson (2), one of which was a last-minute equaliser, replied for Walney.

Hawcoat Park reserves defeated Dalton United reserves 6-0. Tom Hammond (2), Carl Pearson (2), Sam Jefferson and Carl Mackay were the Hawcoat scorers.

Swarthmoor bounced back from defeat in midweek with a 5-1 win at home to Furness Cavaliers reserves. Graham Wilcox took the match-ball home after helping himself to a hat-trick. Charlie Price slotted home a penalty and Gaz Killip scored what can only be described a Zola-esque flick.

Barrow Celtic won 4-2 against Kirkby United, with Rob Johnson, Jono France, Callum Batty and Stuart Thompson on target. Huw Barton and Kieran Ottley replied for Kirkby.

Holker Old Boys lost 2-0 at home to Ashton Town in North West Counties Division One North.

Midweek action this week sees Vickerstown travel to Whitehaven on Tuesday night in the West Lancs Premier Division.

Askam host Milnthorpe and Millom take on GSK Ulverston Rangers in Division One.
